Walk Time Trials to expand across the UK
06th January 2010
Walk Time Trials for 2010 are taking place in a few new locations, including Oxford, Southend and Bath. If you'd like to take part in our monthly, timed, 7km walks we will be hosting these all over the UK throughout the year and you will notice that we will be adding more, announcing them HERE in the newsletter!
As a non member, you will soon be able to take advantage of the the '
Buy 3 and Get 1 Free' pack in the store.
These are one of our most popular events and we run them every month, come rain or shine in large beautiful parks and routes across the UK. They are led by me or one of my Walkactive trainers and the courses are planned meticulously to allow you take take part in a walking workout, test your stamina and technique and to let you see the countryside as you might not have seen it before. It has been proven that one weekly 7km walk can reduce dependency on 3 different known diseases by 43% so, once you've taken part in one walk time trial it might be something you choose to do more often! Each participant is timed during their walk, designed for us to be able to give guidance and feedback on your technique as you walk.
What sets this particular event apart is that we walk with you, motivating and training you as you go, as well as giving you feedback when you finish. This means that when you come back a month later having mastered the technique, you can monitor your improvement by seeing and feeling it!
We begin with a briefing before we get started and, as we each cross the finish line in our own personal time, we make sure that there is time to socialise at a local cafe which is a great way to end the walk! Please
