Walking Programmes
All our Walkactive club members get the exclusive opportunity to follow any of our six downloadable walking programmes. To keep you motivated, your fitness goals achieved and get you the results you want these six programmes are renewed annually. Our first four programmes Walk Basic, which we like to think of as our essential foundation programme, Walk Marathon, Walk a Half and Walk Your Waist Off are available now. Soon two more exclusive walking programmes will be available for you to choose and follow starting them in your own time. Each of our Walking Programmes has its own specific objectives, you can choose the programme that reflects your personal need. There will be programmes for Walking Off Weight, Walking for Fitness as well as walking for a marathon, stay tuned.
How to register on a programme?

Before you start ...
Before you start any of the Walking Programmes (except for Walk Basic) you must first establish your Baseline step count. To do this login and access the Baseline Calculator. You must enter your normal daily step count at the end of each day for three days, and then the calculator will work out your Baseline step count.
You will also have access to our members forums where you can discuss these programmes with other members, our trainers and us. If you have any further questions you can always email us. We all appreciate that life can get hectic and certain things may hinder your commitment or completion of the programme. If this happens and you want to continue making the programme effective, we suggest you start the programme again at a more appropriate occasion by downloading the Walking Programme again to reset it. However remember, successful walking is not always about fulfilling all of your goals 100% of the time it's much better to be consistent with your efforts even if this means that you are walking a little bit less each day as opposed to a lot one day and not walking at all for the rest of the week.

This is designed to help you build up your cardiovascular stamina of your heart and lungs. On this programme you'll be walking the equivalent of a marathon over a specified number of days. |
