Consistency

You don’t need to push the STOP button on life and go on a strict diet to change your body shape or see weight loss. What you do need, is to give each and every microscopic cell in your body a consistent message.

 

Alternating between “I’m on a strict diet” and “I’m off my diet” can play havoc with what your cells are trying to understand. Creating an element of consistency in the way you move and how you implement your overall diet tools delivers effective results which are sustainable, achievable and realistic.

 

By applying my 80:20 rule you can achieve a diet that fits with your lifestyle. Without implementing this, you will not see much change in your body.

Being consistent does NOT mean being a goody two shoes all the time. It means applying these tools 80% of the time. If you do this you WILL see change in your body shape, you WILL have more energy and you can party at the weekends and have moments of excess without the scales going sky high the next day.

Once you have integrated these tools into your day to day life you will have adopted a brand new way of approaching your diet and that is something to be very proud of. Breaking old habits takes a little time and determination but when you implement these tools consistently over a period of time, they will become your new healthy habit giving you a new lease of life. This is the only way to manage your weight for life without a combination of fad dieting, deprivation, cravings  - consistent messages over a consistent period of time means being 'on a diet' will become a thing of the past.

 

And here’s the best news! The longer you are able to apply these tools, the more comfortable your body will become with occasional periods of excess. The abrupt increase in calories will not be laid down as fat and any weight gain will be more easily lost when you get back into your habit – particularly if you combine this with a movement programme that is right for you too!
