About Joanna Hall
 

Joanna Hall is the UK's leading fitness, diet and lifestyle expert. She trained at Loughborough University in physical education and sports science and followed this with an internship at the renowned Virginia Mason sports medicine clinic in Seattle, USA where she focused on exercise programming and nutrition/weight-loss schedules for the corporate market. She gained a First Class pass for her MSc thesis in Sports Science and has gone on to lead the way in results driven, medically endorsed, scientifically innovative but also, importantly, accessible lifestyle advice.

A regular on television and in the national press, Joanna is a columnist and consultant for the Guardian Weekend magazine, Marie Claire, Tesco Healthy Living and Boots Health and Beauty magazine. She created the now widely accepted Carb Curfew diet strategy and was the first expert to bring the pedometer/10,000 Steps concept to the public.

An incredible motivator and innovator, Joanna has launched numerous consumer health campaigns including the Kellogg's 2005 Active Lives Campaign and works with major health and fitness brands including MBT physiological footwear on a series of walking workshops. She has also developed her own range of pedometers - Joanna Hall's Small Steps, Big Changes Pedometers exclusively available from www.joannahall.com which have been awarded a gold standard for accuracy. She is also the Patron of Move4Health, the official physical activity provision of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Obesity in association with the National Obesity Forum she is also the author of numerous bestselling books and DVDs, most recently Joanna Hall's Step Counter Diet and The GI Walking Diet for Thorson's and The Weight-Loss Bible for Kyle Cathie.
